Started the air conditioner.

We started the A/C today and did some preliminary testing on it.

The air flow through the evaporator on Hi with no duct work (overhead console and air outlets) connected was 390 CFM.

The air flow through the condenser unit with part of the duct work connected was 505 CFM.

This works out to a good match for the rated capacity of the system but more testing will follow when the project is more complete.

Also the A/C system has a high demand for electricity and I do not have a large charger to supply the requited power to the system for a long period of time.

When testing the total BTUH output we measured 11,934 BTUH with a ambient air temp of 70 deg. at the condenser and a 6.8 deg. delta wet bulb temperature at the evaporator.

By this time the batteries were wearing down and the voltage was at 21.6 volts.

I was really pleased with this performance.
That is = to 1 ton for those wanting to compare it with there home A/C systems.
