Slappy is building a glassair III down at the airport so we NEEDED to take him some cookies.

I have the airplane down right now for some minor upgrades so I bummed a ride in a Citabria to the monthly flyin.

Fellow RV

When you show up at an airport in a strange place and see another Vans RV airplane it makes you feel like you just met one of your long lost friends.

Had a great time in the air

Got the privelage to go flying. Had a great time.

Our Christmas Trip

Yes ya gotta get strapped in Talya.

 

The weather was IFR for the first 45 min or so and we had a stop in TN to meet a friend.

We picked up Rebecka in TN and offered a ride to Ashville.

 

Had a great flight.  It was IMC most of the way but had a great tailwind.  I briefly saw 220knots on the ground speed. That worked out to 253 MPH. I dont think I have ever had that fast of a ground speed flying a vans airplane.

 



From Ashville on to Virginia had a smooth non-eventful flight.

Georgiana has never been able to play in the snow. She was intrigued when she looked out the window.

This is what we saw.

 

 

We got the snowboard out and took it for a slide.

 

 

I took some locals on a ride to see the snow.

 

 

Flew around a ski slope.

 

 

Went over into West Virginia looking at the mountains.
